The agenda of the 2019 edition was developed bearing in mind the upcoming 5th World Conference on Doping in Sport – taking place in Katowice (Poland) in November 2019 – as well as feedback from participants at the 2018 WADA Annual Symposium.
Contrary to recent years, the Symposium will be a two-day event versus three in light of the World Conference. However, features that have been particularly appreciated in previous years will be present again and new subjects – including the International Standards on Results Management and Education – will be addressed during plenary sessions.
As per previous editions, we will once again welcome representatives of the media on the first day of the Symposium. Keynote presentations will be delivered by WADA President, Sir Craig Reedie and WADA Director General, Olivier Niggli.
The second day of the Symposium will be divided into concurrent sessions that participants will be able to select based on their personal interests and professional development needs.
Coffee and lunch breaks will be centred around networking opportunities, allowing for more personal exchanges and bilateral discussions amongst participants.
